A recent study by Google in partnership with Nielsen finds new statistics to support mobile search trends we’ve been noticing: Almost half of mobile searches are goal-oriented.

 Mobile searchers are a valuable way to drive your business. Additional results show that:

  • 73% of mobile searches trigger additional reaction and conversion
  • 28% result in conversion such as a store visit, call or purchase
  • 1.89 follow-up actions were observed for each mobile search
And why are people using their mobile devices to do searches? Mostly because of speed (62%) and convenience (53%). Consumers even use their mobile devices when they are close to a PC: 68% do mobile searches at home and 9% while at work.
