Our team is honored to be chosen to run your SEO Campaign! Over the years we’ve learned a thing or two about what it takes to have a successful relationship with you and a results-filled campaign:

  • Collaboration is key. The process is interactive and we need you to participate, be open to new ideas and information, and be honest with your feedback and input. We each need to keep the other party informed on what is changing on the website. Together we can create a stellar result.
  • Goals are of utmost importance. We all need to work together in one direction towards a common goal. The most successful campaigns and projects stay focused on the goal(s) at hand. We are very flexible to work with but let’s not lose sight of what we are trying to accomplish.
  • Speed counts. We are committed to keeping your project on track and moving forward as planned. We also need you to respond to email communications and requests in a timely manner and provide all deliverables on time.
  • Your voice matters. We want to hear from you. Don’t worry about “bugging us” – we want to hear from you. Let us know when we are on the right track and getting smile-inducing results and when we may have missed the mark so that we can make corrections ASAP.

Who will be my primary point of contact?

Your SEO Project Manager will have the most up to date information on the progress of your campaign as they are the ones conducting the analysis, work, and implementation. It is best to contact them first either by email or phone with any questions, campaign adjustments, and feedback.

What involvement do you need from me and my business?

We know that you are busy with your own responsibilities which is why we aim to keep you as involved as you want to be. Some of our clients leave all of the work to us and occasionally check in while other clients are in regular correspondence and very involved in the process. It’s up to you.

At the minimum, we ask that you:

  • Provide feedback, approval, and content when requested.
  • Inform us when any website access information or login credentials are changed.
  • Inform us when there is a change in your brand strategy (ex. new products/services, new markets, new competition, shift in focus, change in website goals, etc).
  • Review monthly reports and comments from your Project Manager.
  • Notify us when you plan to make any updates to your website (ex. content changes, new sections added, URLs change, pages removed, etc).

What if I can’t implement your SEO work and recommendations?

In order to get the best results, this SEO Campaign will require you to approve and apply our work and recommendations to your website (upon your approval). If you do not have a web developer/web designer able to make our approved changes (ideally within 48 – 72 hours) we offer add-on plans for all SEO Campaigns that allows our In House Web Developers to quickly and efficiently implement the approved recommendations made by your SEO team.

Note: Many clients with their own web developers/designers also benefit from this option as it is quicker and more affordable to implement changes than having a third party involved.

What benchmarks will you use to evaluate my website’s SEO success?

In the first month or two of your campaign your Project Manager will help create a meaningful set of benchmarks/metrics we will use to track, monitor and evaluate the success of this SEO campaign. In the past, rankings were the primary benchmarks for determining SEO success but a lot has changed in recent years. While a top search engine ranking is still important, it is only one aspect of the equation in determining the success of your SEO campaign. Our work is also focused on improving your website’s reputation with the search engines, improving web page function, increasing traffic, increasing visitor loyalty, increasing conversions, and ultimately increasing your ROI.

Can I make my own non-SEO changes to my website?

The success of our campaign is dependent on the optimization, updates and recommendations we make to your website. Making your own changes without our prior knowledge and input (such as overwriting pages, changing content, removing pages, renaming URLs) can cause lasting damage to your rankings and traffic.

It is critical that you notify us in advance of making any changes. There are certain crucial steps our team will take to help you successfully make your desired changes without affecting your SEO rankings and traffic.

If you choose to change or delete a page without notifying our team for input, you do so at your own risk and our team can’t be held liable for any negative consequences.

What happens if I need to change the scope of campaign?

We understand that your brand is always evolving which means we need to leave space for your SEO to evolve as well. There are several reasons why we may decide to make occasional adjustments to your campaign. Please speak with your Project Manager as soon as possible if you anticipate any of the following changes as these can affect the fit and outcome of your campaign:

  • Target market(s)
  • Range of products and services
  • Geographical reach
  • Competitors to monitor
  • Business goals

Furthermore, if you need to change the speed at which you want to grow your campaign or the level of results you want to achieve it’s important to talk to us right away.

When should I expect to see results?

We perform all search engine optimization according to current best practices. Implementing SEO changes takes time and effort and it can take between 6 and 9 months once our initial optimization work is live on your website before we start seeing the full effects. This is because it takes time for Google to revisit your website and determine where the improvements deserve to be ranking. We can also expect to see fluctuations as Google tests out ranking your improved site before it settles on final positioning. We highly recommend that you run the SEO Campaign for a 12-month period before assessing its full impact.

What if I decide to fast track or reprioritize work?

Your initial campaign and scope of work was determined based on competitiveness in your market, the level of results you wanted to achieve, how much work we estimate is required to accomplish said results, and how fast you want to achieve the results. It’s important that everyone matches their expectations with the scope of work and budget of the campaign. If in the future you want to receive results faster we provide the option to upgrade your campaign (add more resources each month to perform our work) or the option to do an add-on (a one time work order to fast track a specific task such as creating 10 new pages of content or optimizing 100 images). We almost always recommend this add-on option as it a) allows your intended SEO campaign to continue as normal and b) allows us to complete a task that will have high impact noticeable results right away (rather than waiting for several months).

When will I get my first report?

You can anticipate frequent correspondence in the first two months with your Project Manager and an official Status Report at the end of the second month of work. We aim to complete all of our initial SEO implementations in the first four months. During this time we start collecting website data and finalize KPIs and metrics. At the end of the fourth month mark you will receive your first monthly report that includes website data, KPIs, metrics, work status reports, strategy review, and additional comments and interpretation from your Project Manager.

Do you have an hourly rate if I need additional work performed outside the scope of my campaign?

Yes we offer discounted rates for our SEO Clients needing additional work (such as Web Development or Design). Please speak with us about your needs!

Who should I contact regarding additional services?

As your campaign evolves you may decide you want to add additional components such as Social Media Advertising, Paid Search Advertising, Content Development, and more. We offer a wide range of services to build and promote your brand.
