Site & Server Analysis to Ensure
Search Engine Robots Can Access Your Website

As your SEO consultant, 1st on the List Promotion Inc would first conduct a “site and server analysis” of your website. Before search engine optimization can begin a site and server analysis is necessary to see if there are any problems on the back end that would prevent the search engine robots from accessing your website properly.

Once the site and server analysis has been completed we print a server review to highlight the potential problem areas that would have to be addressed either by your web master or by our professional SEO consultant services.

Helping Search Engine Robots To Properly Access Your Website

In order to attain proper website indexing to obtain the best organic search engine rankings, your website must first be easily crawled, read and understood by the search engine robots.

Many times, the search engine robots have trouble accessing blocked websites and the site owners are not even aware that their website or server setups may be causing the blocking.

Unfortunately there may be many areas within a website and its server environment that could possibly prohibit the search engine robots from accurately accessing a website’s content.

As your SEO consultant, we conduct a thorough site and server analysis. We review your website and server to ensure that the server allows search engine robots proper access to your website; as well as ensuring that the website architecture is a search engine friendly design.

Our professional SEO consultant understands what to look for when analyzing your website and you will be provided with a complete dedicated server report.

Once your website and server have been analyzed to ensure that nothing prevents the search engine robots (or spiders) from accessing and indexing your site, our SEO consultant will then look at various areas within your website to determine what areas can be improved upon to help increase organic rankings for your relevant keyword phrases.

Correcting Canonical Domains

Often times a website is available via the http://www.domain.com and http://domain.com formats. This is called a “canonical domain” and is easy to fix as long as you are aware the problem exists.

Although canonical domains do not cause a problem with your website, it is considered by the search engine robots as having two separate websites with the same content on two separate domains. This must be corrected as it can have a negative affect on your search engine rankings and is something we look for as part of our site and server analysis.

Summary

There are over 200 areas that the search engines use within their algorithms when determining a website’s search engine rankings; the more areas that can be properly covered through a site and server analysis, on-page optimization and link building efforts, the better your chances of having your website properly spidered, indexed, ranked and listed in the top organic listing results.
